What do you think the best way to hunt for deer is?
I am wanting to go to the lands between the lakes next fall to archery hunt deer, and am not sure weither to go in a tree stand, blind, or just on foot. I got a 50 pound bow if that helps. What would you do?
I used to hunt from a tree stand back when I could make them large and comfortable. I used old discarded pallets and put them on 4 legs and raised them to about 12 feet off the ground.
The thing is, a tree stand will allow you to see much further in the forest, as it raises you above the brush on the ground. AND, deer don’t have any natural predators that hunt them from above. So, they focus on the ground, where humans, coyotes, bears, and other carnivors hunt them.
