Gun questions? Help?…?
My father died a couple of weeks ago, and he was a big gun collecter and stuff. Since I was his only daughter, he left me all his guns, but the problem is, I’m completely clueless.
He left me (according to the inventory; they all look the same to me. I have no idea what all the numbers mean, so I might mess them up… sorry):
-Beretta 950 Jetfire
-Sig P239 9mm
-Beretta Cheetah 84
-Bushmaster M-16 5.56
-Aug MSAR STG-556
-Benelli M4 Super 90
-Winchester Model 1897 something (I can’t read it)
-a Springfield something that fires a 45-70 Gov’t bullet, or something
I have no idea what I should do with all these guns. I have a gun license, but I only got one so I could recieve the guns in the will (he told me he was going to give them to me before he died). Are they valuable at all? Can I sell them? (I’m sorry if this is in the wrong category, but I can’t find any other place to ask this question.)
Would I be better off just keeping them and learning how to use them?
I am not an expert but you probably have a couple $1000 worth of weaponry there (my guess is around 20K but like I said I am not an expert). If you want to sell them and get a big chunk of money that would be a good idea. If you want to learn how to use them that would be a good idea. Take them to a gun dealer, ask him how much each of them are worth and which ones are valuable (collectables). Make sure you go to more then one person though so he doesn’t rip you off.
