2 part: experiences / opinions between px4 storm and XDm + differences between 9mm and .40 S&W in those guns.?

I have heard the rotating barrel doesn’t even make a difference in the px4 vs non rotating barrel guns. I think I like the safety on the beretta more and the gun seems to sit lower in my hand vs the XDm, only problem is I have not fired either one, only held them in my hand. So if people could give me their opinions and back them up with real reasons that would be great, thank you in advance.
—–part two : 9mm vs .40 sw. now I know the magazine capacity is about 3 or 4 bullets more for the 9mm and a box of 50 9mm cartridges is about 10 bucks cheaper than .40 sw. I would like to hear your opinions on the kick/ follow up shots of the two calibers in the two pistols(rotating px4 vs non rotating XDm). I would also like to hear anything else concerning the differences between the two cartridges in these two pistols, thank you in advance.

you will hear from all the jerks out there:
1) 9mm is a pussy round
2) 40 cal is better!!
3)Real men only shoot 45 cal!!!

1) you have to hit the target for it to make a difference:
2) no one ever volunteered to be shot with a hollow point 9mm+p round:
3)9 mm ammo is much more plentiful and considerably cheaper than 40 and 45 cal:
9mm ammo has considerably less recoil which translates to accuracy:
I have a PX4 9mm and an XDM 9mm
I prefer the Beretta
It is important (now to alienate all the Glock owners) to have a hammer as opposed to a striker design in a weapon you are going to carry for obvious safety reasons:
secondarily it is important to have a safety lever on a carry weapon:
The rotating barrel does ever so slightly decrease the recoil; this would be more important if you went with a 40cal as opposed to a 9mm:
