Springfield XD Subcompact vs. Beretta PX4 Storm?

I’m a young female college student looking to buy my first gun. I don’t have much experience with shooting (I’ve shot a Beretta, a Glock, and a S&W .40), but, after going to the store and holding both the Beretta Storm and XD subcompact, I’ve decided that these two guns fit my hand the best. I am planning on getting a concealed carry license also, so size plays a factor as well as how they shoot. I have not had a chance to shoot either, so if anyone has had the chance to shoot both of these guns, could you please give me your recommendation and reasons as to why.

I’ve fired and handled both extensively. I have a poor opinion of beretta from both personal experiences, customers experiences and law enforcement and military experience. I do really like the XD compact. In fact, I like it so much that I put it thru extensive testing, and it passed with flying colors. My wife now carries it as her CCW weapon of choice. Believe me, I would not allow her to carry it if I did not have complete faith in it.
