Does anyone know anything about a JASON TELESCOPE BY BUSHNELL?
I was wondering if they are any good?

buying it for my husband for christmas. He said he didnt want a huge one just because we would have no where to put it so I thought a smaller one would be nice. And I thought about it the other day when venus and jupiter were showing and he said he wish he had one to look at them.
some one at work is selling one for 35 so I was thinking of buying it but wanted to get more info on it
The real question is this: is it worth $35?
No. In fact, i’ve seen similar scopes for $20. It’s difficult to say that they’re worth $20.
For $25, you can get 10×50 binoculars at a sporting goods store. These are fragile. In fact, you should save your receipt and on the first clear night look at stars with them. If the binoculars are aligned, you won’t see every star doubled. If they work, keep them. If you treat them like fragile glass artwork (which is what they are) they’ll last for years and years, and provide good views.
However, i find that 10x is very, very difficult to hold still with your hands. I recommend getting 8x. Unfortunately, i’m not finding cheap 8x binoculars just anywhere. There is a project that can be made for about $15 an a couple hours to hold binoculars up to 15x steady. See the link.
Don’t get zoom binoculars.
