Backpacking packable fishing poles.?
OK I just asked a similar question about 4 days ago and got some great help. Now I think I have it down to 3 poles, I think. First is the Cabela’s Executive Travel Spinning Pack by Daiwa. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0042871121610a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ne=292&Ntk=Products&QueryText=pack+rods&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&Ns=DISPLAY_NAME|0&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 . The second is the Shakespeare ugly stick, 4 piece medium action pack rod. http://www.troutlet.com/Shakespeare-Ugly-Stik-Pack-Rods-P132.aspx . Last is the Eagle claw trailmaster 4 piece medium action. http://www.troutlet.com/Eagle-Claw-Trailmaster-Pack-Rods-P124.aspx .Again, I need something that would be good for backpacking, catching fish like blue gill, perch and trout. Thanks for all your help.
I still think you should go for the Cabela’s/Dawia outfit

It already comes in a perfect sized box with holes and slots for the rod and reel, and it’ll fit perfect in a backpack. The rod is reversible for a flyreel, all you need to do is buy is one of those and you’re good to go.
IF Loomis or even St. Croix built a pack rod, either one of them would be THE shyt!
