If home is where your heart is; is it possible for home to be some where you’ve never been?
I have lived in the hell holes of western pa my entire life. I hate it here with a passion. I lived in the woods for a while and was content but when my fiancée and I moved in together it was in a busy town setting. I feel like I’m dying here. I’m never happy and frequently depressed.
I long so badly to pack up and head out west to Oklahoma or Kansas, or south to Tennessee or Kentucky. Its so odd. I’ll be listening to the radio since country music is my favorite and I’ll start crying. I am a country girl trapped in the city. My neighbors get a kick out of my camouflage attire and people up here are quite rude if I wear my cowboy hat in public.
But I’ve come to find Pennsylvanians’ are rude in general…
What do you think? And does your heart belong some where other then where you are?
I think it is entirely possible for home to be somewhere you haven’t been. You just have to find that someplace. Have a long talk with your fiancee about your depression. Suggest that you take a vacation to one of these places so you can see them in real life, not just through music. Since KY and TN are closest to where you currently live, hop in the car for a long weekend of just driving around.
Now, for the commercial, come to Middle TN. You will find lots of friendly people, beautiful scenery, big cities and small towns, sweet tea and fried chicken, four seasons, lots of outdoor recreational activities, low cost of living, and the occasional celebrity.
