how to remove “bleed through” dye stain on carpet?
Christmas tree stand (cast iron) sitting on top of deep red cloth for about 10 days. Appears that water from tree stand got onto cloth and then “bled” red dye onto the carpet. Do we have a chance of removing it and what do we use for the best results. Thank You…
You can remove the dye with Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover. It removed permanent magic marker from porous plastic for me…the marker just wiped right off like melted butter, so bleed-though dye is a piece of cake.
Spray Krud Kutter onto a clean rag and just wipe at the dye stain until it’s gone. Then wipe with a wet rag to clear away any residual Krud Kutter.
You can buy Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover at Target, Home Depot, and most hardware stores. You can also buy it over the Internet:
