Our Christmas tree is HUGE and I can’t get under it to water it. Any clever way to water the tree?
We’ve got this HUGE live Christmas tree that is in a regular plastic stand. The problem is that the tree is so wide and the branches touch the floor (dumb, I know… but Santa lays the presents all over the room for the kids) that I can’t get underneath it easily to keep watering it…
I’m afaid if I keep jamming my body under there and moving the tree, it might tip over!!!
Anyone have any clever ideas to water it? I was thinking along the lines of how they have those dog waterers that use a 2 liter and just keep filling the bowl as it empties… how would I translate that to a tree?
Anyhhow, ANY clever ideas would be MOST appreciated!
Run a section of garden hose up the trunk with a funnel on top at a convenient height, and set the other end in the bowl of the tree stand. Put the funnel toward the back of the tree and water it from there.
