Deer Hunting, Mississippi Overcast 20 Degrees?
I am 30 plus and just started hunting last year. I am thinking about going deer hunting tomorrow evening. The land I am hunting is basically a grown up 40 acre pasture. I have seen a tremendous amount of deer scat but I will not be able to use my climbing stand because there are no trees big enough to support it. I will have to hunt from the ground in 20 degree overcast weather which is unusually cold for us. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Go early and late and watch the field with some binos from the tree line or brush. There should be deer in there at night and early feeding. Locate your self near the feeding areas where there may be water and have the wind in your face. Be careful not to spook deer in the field before daybreak. Some good stalking may come in handy.
