Badger vs Dachshund?
Which one would win? Why?
Dachshunds were bred to locate and hold their quarry underground, while the handler digs down to it. The handler will then dispatch (kill) the quarry. Dachshunds are not bred to fight it and kill it. I don’t know if you’ve actually ever seen a badger, but they are pretty big critters, with big claws that do a lot of damage. I’ve never seen one alive, but did see the pelt of one at a NATC show.
Since we have no badger in this part of the U.S., we work our dogs on woodchuck, fox, possum, rats & raccoon.
