The Rott vs. the Skunk???
the craziest thing happened right now at night in Chicago. All the sudden im walking my dog and i see this black rat my dog runs and bites it and kills it instantly, but lo and behold mamma SKUNK comes and sprays my dog who would give up until he started to gag and i pulled him away. Now he smells like S H I T mixed with the worst substances imaginable, what the heck should i do about the smell that wont come off me or the dog!?!?!?!?!?!?
o by the way im not sure if the skunk bit my dog…could he get infected or rabies??
Has your dog had a rabies shot in the past three years? That’s usually how long the shots take for. Tomato paste for the smell is your best bet. Something with the acidity in the tomato helps. Take ‘em outside and slather it all over him. Let it stand for ten if you can keep it on him. Rinse him with a hose, or stick him in the tub and do it. I had this happen to my dog once. She was springer spaniel and extra fuzzy, so it should work on a short hair rot
