Sneak Camera at Practice: Mich St & UNI – predictions?
my little camera (in my head) says both teams are focusing on UNIs in-bounds pass.
If Kansas had figured that out before 2:30 left in the game then everyone’s brackets would not be so busted.
You gotta think Mich St will try and repeat and try to exploit that weakness from the get go.
This is actually tough to call in my mind with Mich State so injured. My bracket has MSU winning this round – but unless MSU can really repeat KSUs late attempt at exploiting UNI’s weak inbounding I got to say UNI will be the Cinderella here. And UNI will be practicing that in bounding as well.
Who would have thought so much sweet sixteen practice time devoted to the in bounds pass????
How do you see this playing out?
I think Northern Iowa wins 70-62
Chis Allen is another injured player on Michigan State’s roster but should play next game.
Michigan State has had Raymar Morgan and Durrell Summers step up big though. Korey Lucious the hero for Michigan State with the game winner in their game against Maryland has done a nice job stepping up too
Northern Iowa is one of the best defensive teams in College Basketball. They suffocate teams with that defense. Kansas’ array of weapons Sherron Collins,Xavier Henry, Tyshawn Taylor,and Cole Aldrich each couldn’t get into their rythm
Northern Iowa’s talented PG Kwazdo Ahelegbe had an off shooting night although he took Sherron Collins out of the game and they still pulled the upset
The Northern Iowa roster goes 10 deep and has some pretty underrated players like their hero Ali Farokhmanesh, the MVC player of the year Adam Cook who scored off a huge offensive rebound last game, and their solid center Jordan Egleseder.
Northern Iowa shoots the 3 ball well and plays great defense which is just what they need.
This reminds me of Nevada and my Georgia Tech team in 2004. When Georgia Tech was missing leading scorer BJ Elder playing against the cinderella and cameback and came through in the clutch eventually making the NCAA Title game before losing to UConn.
