My son & I always dress alike for Halloween, & he wants to dress like KISS! I need help creating costumes!?
He’s 4 and wants to be Gene Simmons for Halloween so i have to Match him as either a female version or another band member!! So I need help creating costumes for me and him, I wont have an issue with hair and make-up but the costumes themselves!! HELP THANKS
Me and my friends went as kiss last year for halloween. It was a lot of fun, and we didn’t spend much on the costumes. What we did was get black leggings from Target, to look like leather on us. It’s a lot comfier that the real stuff, and breathable too. We made our own shirts by taking a black shirt that was form-fitted on us, and got silver sparkly edging, decals, and gems from Joann Fabrics and sewed it on to look like the person that we chose. We sewed them on our boots too (we picked the boots up at payless for $4)
We went to Hot Topic to shop for accessories. Picked up spiked bracelets and chokers.
As for face paint, first paint your face white like you would a clown and put black paint on to look like your person. We paint-brushed the black on, using a clown’s black makeup box.
Just look up the band on google images for the hair. Its easy to get it good. One of my friend’s hair was too short so she got a wig from a local halloween shop. The rest of us used black hairspray to get our hair black.
We carried around a mic, fake guitars, and drum sticks all night…but it was a little too much, I would suggest not bringing that.
An idea for you: dress like a groupie?
