Which knife: Gerber LST or Buck Bantam?
I want to get a small knife that I can carry around with me most anywhere. It has to be light, single (or double blade tops) and non serrated. A sleek and pretty design would be a plus. These are the two ‘best’ starter pocket knives I’ve seem to find. Which should i get?
Also: They types I’m looking at are the Gerber LST or Ultralight LST and the Buck Small Bantam or Nano Bantam. (2 3/4 blade vs 1 7/8) Which size would be better overall for daily carry?
Thanks for any and all help
I have the Gerber Ultralight LST and it is good for cutting string, etc.
I usually carry a CRKT M16 but it is illegal on federal property and in many cities.
Spyderco has a couple small blades made for such places – a CAT and a Chicago model
Gander Mountain carries a Browning that I’ve really come to like and price is unreal – pocket clip has not held up but blade is good
the two you mention are good for peeling an apple or cutting string
if you do much work or expect much from them in an emergency, they may not cut it
