Did anyone use orchids in their wedding bouquets? How did they hold up?
I recently started a side floral business on my own after working for another for a shop for several years. I get the same old rose, gerbera daisy, lilly type stuff all the time, but never got much opportunity to work with orchids until now….(noone ever wanted to spend the money on them until this bride!) I know how to wire them and that type of thing, but I can’t think of a single wedding we ever did that had orchids in them, just made a few corsages for mothers day, so I’m not sure how well they hold up…do they spot or wilt easily? thanks!
oh and it will be the green cymbidiums if it helps!
I had orchids and roses in our bouquets and the orchids (phaelenopsis) held up beautifully! We got married in December in California, so it was chilly outside (around 37 degrees) and warm inside. We got the bouquets around 1:30pm the day of the wedding, and the next day, they were still beautiful and fresh looking.
