What is your average distance for shooting whitetail deer?
Just curious how far most people shoot. Please say if you were in a tree stand, ground blind, etc and what you hunt with.
Mine is about 20-30 yards, hunting in a ground blind, with open sights on my rifle.
for those who wanted to know, i use a k98k from WW2. it was my grandpa’s who gave it to my dad who gave it to me. it is capable of shooting over 100 yards easily, but all of my deer come within that 20-30 yards. plus i hunt in the woods were my eye sight range is also limited. i don’t hunt a field.
About 25-35 yards, out of a tree stand so far.
I’ve used a scoped 12ga and a .50 cal percussion.
