i asked this a while ago but im curious again and looking for anyone new that may help me?
so climbing tree stands and pine trees??
i want to get a tree stand for this years archery and maybe even rifle if im lucky. i want a climbing stand too because we just moved into these pine trees a couple years ago and havent quite learned how to hunt in this terrain so id like to be able to move trees with as little effort as possible.
but the problem is that we have nothing but pine trees around and some of them have BIG thick bark and im worried that this bark might flake off and drop the stand and hunter but ive also heard that the bark is strong. so can anyone help me? i know it will be noisy climing these trees but the bark scares me. id almost want 2 or 3 harness’s on
Something about large pine trees.

drilling holes into large pine trees
putting long bolts into the holes and climbing up the tree.
Taking the bolts so that everyone knows you drilled the holes
No one else uses the holes.This is on public land. Many friends hunted this way and one opening day one friend shot 6 bucks which others were happy to tag and take home.
