I have a 15′ 2 man ladder stand to hunt deer?
I put the stand together following the directions, but the directions do not really show how to actually raise it up on the tree other than saying I need 2-3 people.
I would really like to hear from someone who has put ip a ladder stand successfully.

You are not stupid and you don’t need to take backhoe thru the woods. Answer #3 is perfect. It is large and heavy and that’s why help is recommended. The base of the ladder should be a couple feet from the bottom of the tree and then tilt it up and against the tree. Somebody holding it while it is secured higher up is preferred for safety. I always suggest a safety harness because I read about somebody falling out and dieing every year.
