Diagnosed with Scoliosis, 30 degree curvature, 13 year old female .. ?
I’m a 13 year old female, just diagnosed with scoliosis, 30 degree curvature.
Is that bad? I’m not lopsided or anything [lol] but i’m ALWAYS having back pain. Will they recommend surgery, a brace, therapy? I have an appt. with the Norton Leatherman Spine center in about a month, and i wanna kinda get an idea of what i’ll be expecting to hear. Any tips? Thanks and please no rude comments.
Hi, I’m 14, and I had a degree around 45, (I don’t remember the actual degree ahhah) and my doctor said it was pretty serious. I couldn’t tell that I had scoliosis, and none of my friends either. I actually had the procedure done on me, the scoliosis surgery, and the outcome was great. It’s almost been a month since I had the surgery. What I recommend for the pain is a chiropractor. I had one before I had the surgery, and it helped a lot. I used to have pain around my lower back very frequently and it was really irritating so my parents brought me to a chiropractor and within a few weeks, I had little to no pain at all. I just want to suggest a chiropractor that’s the same gender as you. I had a male one, and it was really weird, and I want to spare you of the experience. Good luck!
