buying a mattress – help!?
Hello! After doing quite a bit of research, I know that every single retailer/store sells mattresses under different names. Now…I’ve narrowed it to 3 mattresses and I have a feeling they may be the same one, so I hope you can help with:
1. identifying if they are indeed the same mattress
2. estimating a good price for them and how low you think I can go. I know that the markup is huge and I want to make sure I don’t overpay.
All 3 mattresses are Simmons, Beautyrest, Classic in full size. The names are:
1. Macy’s : Sunflower Luxury firm. Retail price: $1699 (on sale for $899) with free delivery and old bed removal
2. Sleepy’s: Hamlet Luxury Firm Retail price: $1599 (got it down to ($750) with $89 delivery charge
3. 1800mattress: Bethea Luxury Firm: Retail price (was not given one but told me they could sell it for $799) with $59 delivery charge.

Go to the 3 stores and try out the mattresses. I never buy one without trying it out first.
