How and where can I sell an almost new mattress. Whats the best price i can quote?
I suffer from upper back problems. For the past 3 years I sleep on the floor just over a mattress topper and a comforter layer. I wanted to buy a bed finally and I purchased a Simmons NXG series memory foam mattress from my local mattress store. Within one night i knew I had to exchange this. I took it back to the store and after trying all other mattresses in the store, I came back with a Sterns and Foster ultra firm mattress thinking that this would be the best choice with just a soft mattress topper. Unfortunately that proved to be a grave mistake. My back problems have gotten worse just sleeping on it for one night.
The store will not let me return or exchange. I am now stuck with a 1700(+tax) mattress that has no use for me. Its a very good one day old mattress. I am desperate to sell it to some good buyer. I would like to know where I can put it for sale and what would be the best price I can quote.

You can TRY to sell it anywhere you want, at whatever price you’d like, but it will probably not get sold.
You have 3 options. Sell it to a used furniture store. They will definitely buy it, and will pay, maybe, $50.
Put it on craigslist.org, and hope.
Put it on freecycle.org and give it away.
