How do I get rid of wildcats?

I have numerous wildcats that hang out and walk on my vehicles. I can visibly see they are scratching my clear coat. It makes my blood boil seeing them out there. I called the animal control for my county and they do not deal with cats only dogs and animals with rabies. I have talked to a couple people, they have suggested antifreeze in a big bowl outside. Another guy suggested animal traps like you use to catch raccoons, skunks, etc… Basically the cat would eat the food out of the middle of the trap and the trap would spring shut to break its neck. I am at wits end with these social parasites. I cornered one in my garage the other day. It was a tomcat, I could smell that he just sprayed. I hit him upside the head with a shovel and he died. But there are still a ton more, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently you guys are not reading. Animal control will not take these cats whether I bring them in or not!!!

Trapping cats like that will get you a fine and possibly jail time, it’s illegal.

I have cats sitting on my hood all the time after I get home and the engine is warm. My car is 2 years old and there’s no scratches on it from them. My sig. other’s car never was scratched either, and there’s at least two who like to sit on his in summer when the sun warms the front up.

They’ve sat on my two previous cars and no scratches there either. The cats all have claws and they don’t damage the paint. Other than muddy paw prints, there’s never been a problem.

Why don’t you get one of those car covers, or park in a garage? It’s the easy fix and I can’t understand why you didn’t think of that first?

If you’re killing neighborhood pets, you’re opening yourself up to some heavy legal issues as well. I can guarantee that putting out antifreeze will get you jail time in any city.
