stop someone from stealing your deer stand?
some mother*^#@$! shot my deer camera, then stomped on it and threw it in the woods. they then cut a strap on the ladder of my deer stand. im guessing they stopped there because i have a cable lock on my stand but a pair of bolt cutters would cut threw that…any other way to keep it stuck to the tree?(besides me on the other side of the woods ready to snipe some sorry a$$)
You can’t stop them. Even if you lock it down where they can’t move it, the will damage it beyond repair. Your best bet if you wish to continue to hunt that area is to invest in a climbing tree stand such as the Summit Viper or the API and pack it in and back out when you leave. In the long run it will save you a lot of money and aggravation.
