wolf vs cougar
is a pack of 6 bushdogs able to attack and kill an adult male jaguar?

Since these two live in the same place and compete for food i was wondering which would be the victor i have some more question.
Jaguarandi vs maned wolf
spectacled bear vs Cougar
16 foot long black caiman vs 16 foot long Orinoco crocodile
5 foot long Bull shark vs Paraiba catfish

6 bush dogs don’t stand a chance against a jaguar. The maximum weight of a bush dog is about 15lb, compared to 350lb for a jaguar. One bite or blow from the jaguar’s paw could kill a bush dog – it would destroy six of them in about a minute.

A maned wolf would most likely triumph against a jaguarundi, as it’s a bigger and stronger animal, but the jaguarundi would inflict a few nasty wounds with its teeth and claws before it was beaten.

I think the cougar has the edge over the spectacled bear, despite the bear being the heavier of the two. The cougar is quicker and much more agile, and is armed with larger teeth and sharp claws (bears’ claws are non-retractile and thus blunt from constant contact with the ground).

A fight between a black caiman and Orinoco crocodile of the same size could go either way. It would really depend on the particular individuals involved, their age, sex, health, experience and so on.

A bull shark would destroy a catfish. One bite and the catfish is history.
